Excellence in Leadership
The Excellence in Leadership Program challenges students to analyze their leadership identity, examine multiple leadership styles, and work effectively in groups while actively engaging the Ball State and Muncie communities. Offering weekly seminars and workshops, Ingelhart Scholars are urged to enhance their in-class experiences by attending these EIL events throughout the semester.
Camp Yale
Camp Yale is a state of the art, 30 acre recreational facility, and is designed to cultivate well-rounded leaders through a one -of-a-kind hands-on experience. Featuring facilitated excursions through a 20 station low ROPES course, rock climbing wall and 450ft zip-line, Camp Yale fulfills its mission in; “assisting all youth, children and adults, in their physical, mental, and emotional development by providing opportunities to develop life skills, in an outdoor experiential learning environment.”
All Campus Leadership Conference
The BSU Annual All Campus Leadership Conference is a free, one day leadership development event for students.
Wakonse Undergraduate Conference
Keeping with the “Wakonse Spirit” to teach and inspire, this annual conference welcomes college faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students from across the nation to gather on the breathtaking shores of Lake Michigan for a powerful dialogue on effective teaching and learning.
