Major: Public Relations Master’s Student Hometown: Oxford, IN Career Goals: With an undergraduate degree in hospitality and food management and an avid food blogger, I hope to obtain a public relations position within the food and beverage industry or museums and tourism.
Major: Photojournalism Hometown: Fishers, IN Career Goals: I’ve always been a storyteller and the dream is to travel around the world and take pictures of different cultures. Virginian Pilot is a long shot but that’s the goal of where I want to work at.
Major: Journalism concentration in Magazine Media Hometown: Crown Point, IN Career Goals: My hopes are to become a travel writer for National Geographic. I want to tell stories of people from around the world and spread awareness about the challenges they face. I am also passionate about writing about the environment and animals facing extinction. I really just want to use my writing to make a difference in the world.
Major: Public Relations Hometown: Sugar Grove, IL Career Goals: I have always loved the idea of meeting new people while traveling. There is a different atmosphere that is infectious when you go to a town next to the ocean. I hope one day to work near some body of water with PR or tourism.
Major: TCOM/ News Journalism Hometown: Crown Point, IN Bio: Everyone has a story that deserves to be heard. I love to tell stories that make an audience feel like they are that storyteller, writer, or videographer. Becoming an Ingelhart Scholar and working on the Facing Addiction project will teach me how to better grasp the skills needed to make the stories I tell more compelling.
Major: TCOM and Journalism News Hometown: Crown Point, IN Career Goals: I aspire to be an impactful journalist. I want to tell stories that connect with a broad array of people. My ultimate goal is to be a reporter or anchor for a Chicago news station.
Major: Journalism and Telecommunications News Hometown: Greenwood, IN Career Goals: I want to work at a newspaper, but I’m not sure where yet. I love writing profiles on people, but I also enjoy writing news stories.
Major: Telecommunications/News Journalism Hometown: North Manchester, IN Career Goals: I aspire to be a journalist for a large corporation or news channel after college, whether it’s for General Motors or at a local channel in any state. I’m open to traveling and seeing more of the world if that’s where my job takes me.
Major: Magazine Journalism Hometown: Logansport, IN Career Goals: Logan hopes to one day tell the stories of the world, whether it be in the news, sports, or simple the lives of everyday people. Looker grew up with his loving family in Logansport, IN, but he considers Muncie his second home. In the future, he hopes to one day travel the world and tell the stories of the people he meets.
Major: Telecommunications/News Journalism Hometown: Cincinnati, OH Career Goals: I aspire to be a sports reporter or producer after college. My goal is to work for ESPN or any local news station. I plan to stay close to home, but excited to travel wherever my job takes me.
Major: Telecommunications/ News Journalism Hometown: Bolingbrook, IL Career Goals: I strive to be a sports reporter or broadcaster in the world of sports. I hope that my determination and experience will take me to a job at ESPN or Sports Center.
Major: Public Relations Hometown: Fort Wayne, IN Career Goals: Wherever I end up, I want to have passion. I hope to land in a career that will aide the community in which I live. As for what I want to do in that position? Who knows. I love event planning, community engagement and writing. As far as my “dream” goes, I’d love to work for the Walt Disney Co. helping with guest relations, fundraising, event planning… even just selling ice cream in front of Cinderella’s castle.
Major: Journalism with a concentration in News Hometown: Elkhart, IN Career goals: I would like to be a reporter for a newspaper, possibly in a big city. I would like to write features and news pieces. Why did I join: I thought it would be a good way to learn new skills within the journalism world, as well as connect and make an impact on the community.
Major: Public Relations Hometown: St. John, IN Career Goals: I am excited for my future in public relations, where I hope to work in a corporate or agency setting. I have big dreams of eventually combining my passion for PR and dance by doing public relations for the New York City Ballet.
